Looking down into the Blueberry field, primary colors create forms. Native Blueberries before young Birch cluster.

Have a nice weekend!

Your garden always reminds me of a beautiful painting. Perhaps it is because the colours and shapes of the trees you have planted. The rainbow shot is superb.
Rainbows always exude a feeling of peace and calm and your photo's captivate this very well, Carol. May I thank you for your sweet comments you so generaouly leave on my posts... they are always appreciated.
I agree, fantastic!! Love the rainbow photos...
Such beautiful pictures. I was out walking while it was still dark this morning and saw the incredible full moon. It was setting and near the horizon and as I walked it kept peaking through the trees. I grow continually more in awe of creation.
Jazzy? More symphonic for me. What a treat!
All those beautiful shots were of your farm, right? They are really beautiful. I think I will not be able to finish shooting in an entire lifetime...
Thank you so much for your kind words! Ruben you are a dear. . . what a compliment . . . I do love his work. Yes we all look upon the same wondrous moon. Lotusleaf there is a goodly amount of pruning going on here . . . thank you kindly. I do think of the land as a living canvas. Meredehuit, you are so very welcome. I enjoy my visits to your garden and your adventures. Me too Ginny! Jazzy in the sense of bright colors Allan. Thank you so much for the great complement . . . but of course the sky and land should take a bow. Thank you all for visiting! Here's to Autumn! Carol
Oh, One your comment just came in . . . Yes these are all views and vistas in and around Flower Hill Farm. There are twenty one acres and a forest, though I rarely share the wood I hope to soon. Thanks for visiting and your words. Carol
Carol,
I went scrambling to my Trees in Canada book to see what a Rock Maple was - it is what we call a Sugar Maple - I've never seen one as large as that - the trees where I grew up in Quebec were soooo much smaller. Do you tap the tree in Spring? Splendid photos and delightful words.
Barbara
Barbara, That is right Rock Maples are the same as Sugar Maples. I did tap them years ago but now since they are so old I just let them be. Wild honeybees live in the middle tree. They are mighty!! Thank you for visiting and sharing your kind words. Carol
Wonderful photos ! Have a great day !
Carol ~ Once again you've given me a breath of fresh air with these glimpses of the autumn beauty that surrounds you.
Those wisteria seed pods are neat.
The rainbows are beautiful!!!
Have a great weekend ~ FlowerLady
dear Carol, I always think that trees are the purest form of gardening and these images certainly confirm that for me. The hazy, heather coloured autumn tints are just dreamy and look so magical against the sky.
A double rainbow - you must have the crock of gold!!
You are fortunate to walk a land of such beauty. Simply stunning color.
Jen @ Muddy Boot Dreams
i heard about that rainbow yesterday, but the only phenomena I saw was slush falling out of the sky at 12:30 while the winds imitated a tornado. This morning there was snow on the ground - but it fell while I was sleeping.
Such beautiful fall colors.. I envy you all of the Sugar Maples that you have in NE -- there's just a few here.
Carol what gorgeous Fall images. Your leaves look so pretty. I wish we could keep them on the trees though. LOL! The double rainbow is just gorgeous. I keep trying to catch just one rainbow and looked all summer when a storm was around with no luck. Yours looks just magnificent coming across the hill.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Wisteria 'earrings', last apples, mesmerizing colors plus a rainbow -what magical views you offer for our enjoyment, Carol! Such wonderful feelings accompany my reading of your post! Thank you!
Your photos always bring your place to life. So much depth and I really like this day to night tour. What a great idea.
Aren't the sumacs just lovely at this time of year. It really is the only time I appreciate them. Same with Burning Bush. The reds that these two produce is just the brightest reds fall has to offer, well, next to Virginia Creeper and that other vine everyone really can do without, poison ivy.
They all give the maples competition for the most standout in the landscape. They stand up an are noticed with that look at me attitude.
I can almost smell the wood smoke in the valley and surely can feel the glorious beauty in New England! This was such a lovely start to the day with an even better finish with the rainbow and moon. So beautiful!
I think I have to view this again this evening very slowly with a glass of wine and some birdsong. Thank you. Just love those wisteria pods - have never seen before. And I must, must, must get those blueberries that have been on my list!
So beautiful pictures, i like autumn colors.
As I strolled through your post I thought I wanted to comment on the beauty of the apple tree and its gorgeous texture. Then I saw the red of the Maple...then the rainbow but you really captured my heart with the moon and dragon clouds...beautiful.
And thank you for your support of my blog. Your frequent visits and thoughtful comments make my heart smile <3 Cat
Your farm must be immense! Impressive and georgeous!!!
Have a lovely weekend,
Charlotta
Carol you are so blessed to be surrounded by such a beautiful tapestry of colours. Your photographs are beautiful.
What a day, Carol! I am so in love with your giant Rock Maples wearing Autumn crowns. And the rainbow ... glorious. We saw one driving to the lake yesterday but by the time I slammed on the breaks and grabbed nearest camera, changed dead batteries ... :( Wasn't the moon amazing! And again tonight, I hope we will be blessed by the full moon (I'll thinking of you)!
Carol girl that was simply GORGEOUS!!! .. I would love to take a walk where you live : ) it is something so breath taking to experience all of that and the amazing rainbow too ! Did you make a wish when you saw it ?? Amazingly enough we had a mysterious rainbow a few days ago as well .. and it tried to be a double one but couldn't quite get it to form .. but hey, I take what ever I can get from the sky and appreciate it so much every time I see it : )
Joy
Breathtaking colors! I love the way light plays in your photographs to create mood and mystery. The rainbow was amazing, and the moon shots were the perfect ending.
Hi Carol, rainbows, a Fall palette and a full moon - what an inspiring landscape for the artist in you. Love the nomenclature 'Walnut Hill' and the "crowns of autumn". Always a pleasure to spend time over at Flower Hill Farm
Laura
Magnificent, an autumn landscape I never can get enough of. Beautiful and skillful shot Carol.
xxoo Tyra
Carol,
Those rainbows awesome! never been able to get a good shot of one at least nothing like yours! Wisteria seed pods as so cool aren't they!
I'd love to knit a sweater right now, with all those lovely colours you show. If I could catch those colours in a yarn it would be as magnificant as your garden of Eden. Lovely walk today :)
Carol, your pictures are fabulous - and very majestic! The many different colours of the trees never stop to amaze me.
Take care!
Carol, I love your sky photos. I walked home from work last night about the same time you took those last photos and enjoyed that same gorgeous moonrise. My favorite image in this group, though, is the photo of the miscanthus grass stems; I can easily imagine that one as a painting, too. -Jean
Hi Carol,
I love the leaf colour, the rainbow and the full moon. Stunning!
Have a good weekend.
Warm regards,
Ingrid xx

Your photography is so serene it's how I like to end my day. Thanks for the sweet dreams!
It is encouraging to see a place where magic has not been driven from the landscape.
These are stunning photos! Amazing colours!
Carol... its makes your day to catch a sighting of a rainbow. Lovely fall colours.... The maples interspersed with the cherries...
PS: I am amazed at the depth of your knowledge on Butterflies. I know you love capturing them thru your lenses and enjoy sharing the same with us here. Thx for informing.. @ Sulphur.

Hejsan Carol!
Your images breathe reverence for nature. The colors are incredibly beautiful.
"Against the light"-images often became successful.
Your last pictures with the rainbow an the evening sky are "wordless" - I can not find the right words to describe the beauty of them...a pastoral pictures..."sigh"!/Kram, Anja
ooooh wow carol, that's a show! so nice to see autumn colors in your world today so far away from my hot climate, i really enjoyed the trek with you today in the comfort of my easy chair...the colors are so dazzling, i would love to visit your world some day, but for now, thanks for sharing it :)
An abundance of muted and lovely subtle colours except the sky which stamps a nursery blue across the top.
You captured those autumn colors, beautifully!
Oh Carol, your surroundings....!! The autumn colours across the mountain is spectacular. Loved everything about this post. The rainbow, the moon, the grass/grass blooms....everything about Flower Hill farm is beautiful!
