Your photos, garden and surrounding countryside are beautiful. These are the first shots I have seen showing fall descending upon the countryside.
October is rather a very special mn for me Carol...so welcome October from me too....
Stunning captures here, you can almost feel the fallness in the air.
Hej, hej Carol;))!

Hi Carol,
Thank you for your visit to Hoe and Shovel. Oh. My. Your views of those mountains beginning to be painted with their colorful autumn hues is just fabulous. FHF is a dreamy place.
I had the privilege of meeting Pat at the Buffa10 get together. Everything you described about her is perfect. A delightful soul. It is so fun to meet other bloggers. I've had a few come to my garden, too, and it is always a wonderful experience. Like meetiing up with old friends rather than new.
Enjoy this beautiful October 1 day!

For me, who is glad to catch a butterfly sitting still, it is quite unbelievable how you can catch them i the flight! The butterfly on the aster photo is stunning! Wish I had taken that photo!!! ;-) The view over the mountains with the vibrant autumn colours, what a sight!!! Lucky you!
Have a nice day!

Thank you so much for these beautiful autumn pictures. Living down here in tropical s.e. FL we do NOT get to enjoy the changing colors of trees and seasons.
Enjoy ~ FlowerLady
Dear Carol, What an absolutely beautiful tapestry of autumnal images you present for us today. I have so enjoyed looking at them and am anticipating a truly spectacular display of fireworks when the trees take on their final colours.
Outstanding views ... love all the wonderful Fall colours that have started already!
I love the windy path in the last photo. Is that part of your 20 acre land? It would be nice to cycle or walk down that path.
Thank you! Thank you all for visiting and leaving me your gifts of words. One . . . the last photo is of the road that my land to the left of it flows alongside. It is a lovely country road. Happy October and Autumn to each of you. ;>)

Oh my gosh how your fall color takes me back to my childhood in the east. I've learned to accept what little evidence of fall we have here in Austin, but to get to revisit through your blog was a wonderful adventure. I especially love the image of the birch tree! Absolutely stunning!
I always found your pictures of a misty Eden wonderful, but now in Autumn colours you fullfilled painter's heart.
You have such a beautiful view of the mountains!I love the butterfly on the asters also.
Have a great weekend,
Carolyn
Those are the views i really am missing in this lifetime, as i am not living in a place with those conditions. But your photos and your surroundings are very inspiring and you capture them very well, thank you so much. Maybe i will not post anything anymore, just wait for your photos till Autumn ends.
Hi Carol and thanks for your kind words. So glad to find you amongst the links for Blooming Friday! It's such a pleasure watching your shots! Autumn is such a beautiful season and the colours are stunning!

So good to hear that Blooming Friday is back again.
You have the most beautiful fall colors and textures. Just delightful.
Picture perfect is all I can say. Just love that purple aster. And the white birch is always a favorite of mine. Beautiful.
Carol girl these pictures are beautiful ! We have had such bad weather I am afraid the wind will knock off all the beautiful leaves before I get a chance to take pictures of them !
Love love love those butterfly pictures .. you take such gorgeous one girl !
Joy : )
The fall foliage in your area is spectacular. Our leaves are just beginning to turn, and after such a dry September I'm not sure how great they will be. Thanks for sharing yours! Can that last photo be the street you live on? If so, how fortunate you are!
