Fields of Wildflowers
upon closer scrutiny
sparkling gems emerge
Purple mist yellow
spiderwort and spider webs
wildly woven glow
Wild Geraniums
cranesbill beaks reach outwardly
dew forms liquid orbs
Fleabane nectaries
timely cups unfurl reveal
precious sustenance
Solomon's-plumes wave
brilliant false starry singing
terminal clusters

Gorgeous macro goodness right down to the tiny webs. Thanks for such beauty. Hope you're having a beautiful Memorial Day.~~Dee
Wow on the macros!! You make each flower look so beautiful!
Wow, are you ahead of us. I have the mystery plant, too. I don't know what it is. As soon as the dew is off the grass, I am going out to look for fleabane.
Absolutely wonderful macro pictures. I love getting close ups like those. Hadn't thought to post a closeup along with the not so close up. Really give a different view of what the main picture really has in it.
Everything is perfect, from the wide angle shot to the minutest details of the macros. I am really envious, just like what i feel when i am looking at Donna's photos. I am always looking to the day when i can show as beautiful photos. The 2nd though i what i love most because of the color especially!
Fantastic photos !
Magnificent! Thank you Carol!
Magical! Love these pics, Carol. You've captured those tiny dew drops on the spider webs beautifully. I suppose we do have to have spiders to have their beautiful webs, don't we?!
Thanks for sharing these photos Carol! My favourite is the Tradescantia, gardeners should plant more of these :)
Świetne zdjęcia "podglądanych" kwiatów. Pozdrawiam
beautiful close ups, especially the water.

Your woods are indeed glowing with beautiful flowers. You have captured their glory so artistically. cheers. ann
Nothing pleases me quite like Geraniums, or the Berkshires in the spring. Wonderful stuff.
a quite beautiful post
both photographs and poetry!
Hi Carol, I'm sitting here on the other side of the world and am sooo glad I found your blog. I am 20 years behind you in the creation stakes (just starting on my piece of paradise) and you have given me faith that all my mad ideas like beauty and nature, a cut flower business and retreat may not be so unattainable. I needed this today THANKS.
Beautiful flowers and magnificent photos! Such a treat.
Delightful images, Carol. Your mystery flower is something in the mustard or crucifer family, always easy to ID due to the cross-shaped (cruciferous), 4-petalled flower.
Thanks so much everyone . . . for sharing your thoughts. Helen great tip! Alison, good luck with your dreams!
I truly appreciate all of your visits and feel awful I cannot reciprocate right now. I am greatly challenged at the moment but hope to be right again soon. I hope your gardens are bringing you great joy. With Gratitude, Carol
Beautiful images of water drops. Especially those clinging to the spiderweb.
Hiya Carol
Tradescantia virginiana ia a gem. Beautiful photographs. It always looks a picture of tranquility over at your place.
Late is okay with me and what a beautiful post~I love macro and extreme macro is even more exciting. It has me wondering if I could name the flowers!! Now I am going to try to figure out that wildflower~. xogail I do love tradescantia.
Wild is so beautiful. I love the dew beaded threads. You certainly capture magic.
I lost my tradescantia to dry soil and now see what I'm missing :( Lyrical words for glorious blooms in these detailed macros. Hope you feel well again soon, Carol.
Laura
