Glimpses From The Edge - A Wildlife Sanctuary - Cape Cod National Seashore

11/11/11 is an auspicious date. Today is Veterans Day and I sit outside the North Truro Library in the cold, so I hope you will forgive my not being able to do more than share these glimpses of a wondrous wildlife sanctuary. A true reason among many for maintaing a peaceful world. Here on the National Seashore wildlife and beauty are abundant. I have just posted to Native Plants and Wildlife Gardens today about the parade of wildlife I have encountered in my gardens. I hope you can check it out and enjoy other inspiring posts there.

PEACE and Blessings on all those who have suffered and continue to suffer due to war.

Fantastic, superb images! The first picture with birds took my breath away! I felt like it was me flying!

Thanks for taking us on your beach walk! I needed that on this grey, damp day in Maine. The moon has been spectacular on the clear evenings.

Wonderful pictures! Sand marsh or tidal flats or the estuary?

(But why are you out in the cold?)

THANK YOU, THANK YOU ALL FOR SHARING WITH ME!! I am still sitting out in the cold or I should say once again as the library is closed till 9:30 and I am on my way home. Friday was a holiday Diana and so not open then either. I will have to do a series on the wildlife here. Stay tuned. Peace to all and to our wild world too. Carol

Exquisite. Meditative. I am awed and humbled. I've missed you. I've missed your insight.

Lovely photos!
The two I like best are:
the sun near the horizon, and
the bird taking flight as his buddy stands and watches.

Thanks for sharing photos of that awesome place!
