Indoor Flower Hill Farm Retreat Tour

Welcome to Flower Hill Farm Retreat

1.  STUDIO

As you enter the Studio you take off your shoes and leave the outside world behind. We sometimes call the studio the 'Writer's Studio.' It is also a gallery for Carol's paintings. This is a very private and romantic space, also perfect for a single getaway retreat. The claw-foot tub has a wand but no stand-up shower. There is a very comfortable Berkeley Ergonomic Organic Queen Bed, with a single futon under the bed.

Seating arrangement for light dining. Sunrise and moonrise can be beautiful from this space, as well as, watching a snow storm. The expansive view is stunning and small trees offer beauty and privacy for the studio.

Writer's Desk

The studio is set up for winter here. There is a gas 'faux-wood' stove which keeps the room very cozy and warm. In the summer the desk can be moved away from the sliding doors for a more open feeling.

There is a kettle for boiling water, small French press for coffee, a toaster-oven and a small refrigerator, along with plates, bowls, glasses, mugs and necessary utensils for your convenience. The studio is not set up for cooking but simple take-out or fruits and cheese etc. is perfect for a romantic getaway. A WC is within the closet under the hidden AC.

In the photo above you can see how the studio can be linked to the downstairs apartment for larger parties or families, or for couples just wanting more space. When the doors are closed the sound proofing is excellent and both the downstairs apartment and the studio are completely privates spaces.

I hope you have enjoyed this mini tour of our rustic getaway. The gardens and views are documented throughout my blog. Walking or snowshoeing right out the doors into our small paradise is a favorite for most of our guests. We do not use any pesticides or chemicals of any kind. Our kitchens are vegetarian. Our electricity is 100% clean wind powered.
To see more about our policies go here.
We offer two separate apartments and a studio, housed in our 1790 farmhouse. All three spaces are very cozy and private, offering great views and simplicity. Each apartment can sleep three or four adults comfortably, where the studio sleeps two... our most unique and romantic space. We offer flowers for special occasions. Be sure to order in advance.
All the photographs, except the black-and-white of chairs in Paris, in the upstairs kitchen are Carols, as well as, most of the paintings shown in the downstairs apartment. Many are for sale.

Nine adults can comfortably sleep here with room for little ones ... great for family gatherings or any sort of reunion. Our rates are based on numbers of guests.

We also host small weddings of not more than eighty guests.

We so enjoy the many guests who visit from all over the world. If you would like to know more or come for a visit please write us at carol@caroldukeflowers.com .

Happy Travels!
