TODAY'S FLOWER with A SPLASH OF YELLOW BEARDED FLUFF

Today I join for the first time... a group from the world over who present flowers for the day... to see more visit flowers from today. Also Bird Photography Weekly to share bird photos with others. For the flowers I offer 'Colchicum autumnale' as it emerges leafless... a riot of lavender pink in contrast to the landscape of trees with emerging bright oranges, yellows and reds. For a bird offering I add a living splash of yellow. A little Common Yellowthroat warbler taking a bath... no doubt 'spiffing up' for his long trip south. His yellow throat looks more like a yellow beard. I took the photo through glass so as not to frighten the little guy. The Colchicum's pale pinky lavender with bits of orange in the anthers... is the perfect complement to the bright yellow of the feathers on this feisty warbler.
