Garden Bloggers Bloom Day . . . Into Day . . . Going By
There is nothing abloom to share from this hillside garden. Days grow and fade into night and back again with various shades of gray and white.
Sunrise paints a different sky with textures of clouds passing by.
Colors are fresh and bright at this time of day. . . later only values of white and gray.
A flash of cardinal wearing a red crown is busy with hips rosey and round.
Excitement comes from an avalanche of snow . . . metal roof sliding . . . 'Watch Out Below!'
The day goes by . . . by and by . . . then another one blooms just south of this room . . . as a sliver of moon hangs high.
Each blossoming dawn paints the sky with it's own eye . . . a bit of gold here . . . a bit more there . . . with washes of rose everywhere.
The finale of fire rises as the curtain opens into a full blown new day.
Snow makes white light and generous coats wherever it floats.
This is how it is here at Flower Hill Farm . . . days come and go . . . we have only icy snow to show . . . no blooms to be seen only ephemeral sky paintings. This is the last Garden Bloggers Bloom Day of 2009. To see other contributions visit
