English Hawthorn Buteo Perching

Perhaps my resident red-tailed hawk is becoming more tolerant of my presence as it usually flees to the trees as soon as I try to take its portrait. This morning it was my camera's ... well my fault for missing other great shots as my memory card was full! These shots are taken thru glass windows and then a filter on my lens as well so there is not a crisp feeling. Another welcome predator to keep voles, mice and moles in check. Luckily the cantankerous crows were not around to pester the lovely raptor. Quite the wildlife day... the whitetail deer below were sited this morning too. The wild honey bees post were shot yesterday when the sun was out and it was in the 50's!
